SMARTY PANTS: HANGING OUT AT THE LIBRARY

We hung out at the library for a few hours today and may I say that I LOVE the library! I love books and I love reading them. I was a bookworm growing up and I still love to sit and read when I get the chance to. What  I loved the most about reading was being transported to different time periods, different worlds, walking in other people's shoes and feeling what they felt. I loved it! I didn't even realize the positive things it was doing to my brain, so win win!

We also love to encourage reading in our home. On that topic I looked up the top 10 benefits of kiddos reading or reading to them and this is how Earlymoments.com narrowed it down:

MAMA STYLE

What a gorgeous duo no?! Not only are they gorgeous but can you say SO stylish? Photographing these two was a blast! I think the excitement started when I saw their outfits. As we walked around our shoot location(s) there was so much love, patience and just fun! Erin is a dear friend of mine and I can say that she always looks so greatly styled from head to toe. She's definitely working on passing this love and natural eye for styling on to her daughter Ireland. JULIA | AGE: 6

GIFTED WITH BRAINS

We went to hang out with Julia on an evening just like any other and when she greeted us she was her smiley and excited self, the Julia we know. Then when it was time to photograph her we (her and I) went into her families' gorgeous music room and once the door was shut, she sat at her piano with such poise and grace. She took a breath and once she started playing, a fairytale energy took over the room as she speedily (and oh so very well) played such happy songs.

Her focus was intense, and her little fingers moved across the keys almost professionally. Every few notes she had a soft smile of pure joy. Then when she was done she would turn to me with excitement, her whole face lit up in giggles and laughs like if nothing had even happened and I felt SO privileged to have been able to be in the room with such an amazingly talented, intelligent, and creative little girl.

Q: WHAT DO YOU LIKE THE MOST ABOUT PLAYING MUSIC?
A: I like hearing how the notes sound. 

Q: WOULD YOU EVER WRITE YOUR OWN SONG? IF SO, WHAT WOULD IT BE ABOUT?
A: Yes. I want the song to say nothing only have notes.

Q: WHAT ADVICE DO YOU GIVE TO OTHER MUSICIANS LIKE YOURSELF?
A: Practice with your piano teacher.

“Julia Rose has a passion for music. She has been playing piano for 1 year and practices everyday with her Daddy. She reads music and can play by ear. When she’s not on the piano, she frequently moves her fingers simulating playing her favorite songs or she hums/sings the song. She has progressed tremendously over the last year of piano and is now starting to learn classical pieces. Her current favorite song is called Roman Holiday.”

This little lady is stylin' day in and day out! She's always dressed in the latest trends whether she's hitting the classroom or the city, which is ridiculously CUTE! Also: she sure can rock tiny little accessories so well and has her poses down! Taking photos of her was a breeze and I wish I could post them all! Not only does she look SO very cute, you can already see her unique individuality in her choices when she dresses herself and her attention to detail, pattern and color ... did I mention that she's only 5?!  I can't wait to see where her imagination and independence takes her! Below there's a  little more about Ireland in a mini Q&A where her mommy is asking the questions and she (Ireland) is answering them. Also check out the feature we did on Ireland's stylish mommy HERE.

“Since the first day we found out our first child (ireland) would be a girl, my shopping game was strong. Little did I know that Ireland would inherit my shopping gene. We like to say she’s a mini me when it comes to shopping. She can spot out exactly what she wants from a mile away. She can also tell you right away what she doesn’t like. She can also shop the racks like a boss. Once she started to have an opinion on her daily attire I began giving her options to chose from. Giving her some freedom to add and subtract from said outfits. When she turned 4 that no longer worked, imagine that. To my surprise I’ve been pleasantly surprised by her choices. Comfort is always her number one priority. I’d describe her style as “trendy comfort”. Anything stretchy and flowy is her thing. She’s learned that you can throw a hat on, a fur vest and your outfit just went next level. Ireland is a gem. Who also loves to throw parties and decorate. She’s going places! ”

Our very first Dad Style feature goes to this gentleman and you can clearly see why! With his cool contemporary look and a beautiful twin in each hand, he was the perfect choice! JUST CAN'T WAIT!

Today I grabbed my camera and was really inspired to take cool photos to give an artistic visual of our Partnerships (so far) here at All Kids are Gifted. I absolutely LOVE how these images turned out and as I was reviewing them I felt a sense of assurance, excitement and pride. I just can't wait to reach the whole earth, to bless as many people as possible, to give, to bring aid, I just can't wait!
